The Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette No. 42/18), which ensures the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, regulates the protection of personal data concerning natural persons and supervision over the collection, processing, and use of personal data in the Republic of Croatia.

The purpose of personal data protection is to protect private life and other human rights and fundamental freedoms in the collection, processing, and use of personal data.

Personal data protection in the Republic of Croatia is ensured for every natural person regardless of citizenship and residence, and irrespective of race, skin color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, education, social status, or other characteristics.

The Controller of the personal data collection (Daruvarske toplice, Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation), for each personal data collection it manages, establishes and maintains records containing basic information about the collection.
