In the heart of Daruvarske toplice is Julije’s Park, one of the oldest parks in Croatia. This protected historic landscape park combines the Baroque style with elements of historicism and the English landscape garden. Next to the park is the Roman Forest, a natural paradise with an educational and trim trail, where you can enjoy a healthy walk through 20 hectares of diverse flora and fauna. Especially interesting is the source of love (Julis Brum), which is located inside the forest.

The natural environment of Daruvar offers many opportunities for an active vacation. Papuk invites you to hike along its well-maintained trails, among which the area of Petrov vrh (614 m) with a mountain lodge and a picnic area stands out. A special experience is offered by Vranjevina with its 20-meter waterfall, while the first Croatian International Dark Sky Park “Crow Stone” offers a unique opportunity for night stargazing.

Cycling enthusiasts can explore a variety of road and mountain routes through the picturesque landscapes of Bjelovar-Bilogora County, and bicycles can be rented in Daruvarske toplice or electric in the city itself. For an extra dose of adventure, the equestrian center at the entrance to the city allows recreational horseback riding in fenced riding areas, as well as exciting off-road riding around Papuk for more experienced riders.

Discover the rich history of Daruvarske toplice through unique buildings that testify to the centuries-old spa tradition. From Anthony’s Bath from 1762, built on Roman foundations, to the impressive Central Mud Bath from 1909 with its recognizable Moorish dome and Art Nouveau details. The elegant Villas Arcadia and Swiss Villa still adorn the complex today, while Ivanovo vrelo with the famous fountain “Gola Maja” creates the perfect backdrop for photography.

The crown of this historical treasury is the magnificent castle of Count Janković from 1777, surrounded by a park and world-famous ginkgo trees, among which “Adam”, the second oldest tree of its kind in Europe, stands out.

For fishing enthusiasts, the Jezero sports pond next to Julijev Park offers a perfect blend of nature and recreation, while the wider surroundings of Daruvar attract hunters with its quality hunting grounds. The tradition of this region is especially reflected in winemaking – the local wine road leads through centuries of vine cultivation, and the unique experience is complemented by a visit to the oldest Croatian brewery from 1840, where beer is still produced according to traditional Czech recipes.
